going with the flow

A small creek meanders by the village Vira bruk, 20 kilometers north-east of Åkersberga in Österåker Municipality. Established in the 17th century, Vira used to be an important ironworks site and had a monopoly for delivering rapiers to the Swedish army.

Love this image. Fragile, magical somehow. Gorgeous.

The effect on the water is almost magical and I find really interesting this kind of monopoliy.

It's hard to imagine a chemical substance more mundane than water. We're made of it. Our planet is covered by it. And yet it's so darn fascinating.

Luis Gomez: What attracted me was the contrast between the moving water and the immobility surrounding it.

Halcyon: Taken during the wee hours of a Monday morning (you know my habits by now), the result is unlike anything I've shot.

Lena Johansson: Tack! Men man behöver en hel del flax också.

Svenske Floyd: I've got another one of these coming up on plenty. Let's see how you feel about that one.

VP: Vira is sort of a living museum and there's more to see than water. Such as the architecture of a picturesque village.

JM: It's a humble creek and I figured it deserved a moment of fame...

arabesque: Between fake and reality, photography is a balancing act. Just before falling, once in a while we may be able to strike a chord...

Stay in the flow of things, everyone. And thanks for stopping by.

You done good! Must have set a very slow shutter speed with the camera on a tripod, right? Lovely shot. Fluid might also be a good description.

Re your comment about the kayak evolving on Ocala DP: You must remember that probably wouldn't happen in Florida 'cause we are overwhelmed with morons who just don't believe in "evolution" 'cause humans didn't come from apes, dontcha know?

Oh yes. Good one Per.

This was shot at 3.18 AM and the temperature was 2C. A rather chilly morning.

Jacob: Right you are. 8 seconds with tripod.

Steffe: Thanks.

Let's all stay in the flow during the upcoming week.
