order has been restored

Evenings used to be long, warm, even sunny. Now is the time for cuddling up indoors, leaving only the photographer out there in the dark. Just the way he wants it.

But he can run back indoors and see the fruits of his labor immediately (and get out of the cold).

Great! Nice performance by your Sony DSLR. Almost no noise at ISO 400.

The block of flats was built in 1987.

Vogon Poet: To be honest I'm not very fond of this particular architecture so I thought I'd better write something else...

Svenske Floyd: Thanks! Not entirely lonely yet though since the weather has been fairly mild.

B Squared: Right you are. But upon checking the results and picking up a spare battery he can of course run back outdoors again!

Fredrik: Appreciate that. I tried shooting this on auto-pilot but the white balance got... ehm, unbalanced...

Leif Hagen: We never literally get to see the midnight sun at our latitude. Still, there's plenty of Nordic light in our summer nights and god natt is a very good summary in September.

Halcyon: As always, it was a lot better "in real life" but I believe I did manage to capture at least some of those nuances.

arabesque: Ah, yes. Romance in Stockholm! :)

Thanks all for hanging out in the cold with us.

Ah yes, that feeling of roaming around at dusk, catching the most beautiful skies.

Absolutely gorgeous shot. I love the title, too. Stay out in the dark, Per Stromsjo!

This is a great shot of an evening in fall. However, in Argentina we are facing just the opposite, days grow longer and nights shorter.

It's a lot tricker getting these right with the SLR. I miss my P&S.

cieldequimper: A sophisticated hobby, isn't it? (As soon as someone invents legwarmers...)

Jacob: I'll per-sist !

Buenos Aires Photoblog: I know you are and - believe me - there are quite a few around here who would love to trade places with you right now.

Again, thanks all.
