heavenly cooking

A food court is an establishment where several restaurants share the same premises. The new one in Vällingby is called Vällingehus. The interior is surprisingly shabby already. The food is OK. The reflected sky is delightful.

Nicer reflection, hope the food is better than the building.

Sadly, our food courts are about the same quality and condition.

Be sure to try the Black Cod when you stop by. There's a place in here where they have zillions of boring steaks and a couple of heavenly fish dishes.

Vogon Poet: Let me put it like this: it has its ups and downs.

arabesque: Glad you like it too!

B Squared: That's a pity. It's a good idea really. I suppose the various restaurants end up around some least common denominator of a menu.

Good to be dining with you all.

Actually that building could be worse. Show it to us again under a white, bleak, winter sky and I might change my mind! ;-) You're right, the reflection is fantastic.

I don't usually count on food courts for a spectacular dining experience. I hardly ever go to them in fact, but if I do it is only for the convenience.

PS: I do like the reflection though!

I was going to say I don't know about the interior but the exterior looks very nice. Great shot with that sun reflection!

Awesome photo! I like the wooden facade of this food court quite a lot. Such a pity that it is already in a poor shape inside.

Food courts are a relatively new phenomenon in Stockholm. We used to have one at Hötorget and that was about it.

cieldequimper: Good point. The exterior is fine. As for the interior, I guess they got themselves cheap furniture to begin with and that rarely pays off in this kind of place.

Halcyon: As far as spectacular dining experiences are concerned, I would also go looking elsewhere. Then again, I may be a bit unfair. Fact is that there are plenty of restaurants here now and when I grew up in this place there wasn't a whole lot to choose from.

Jacob: A generous sun under a clear sky works miracles in most places.

Buenos Aires Photoblog: Glad you like the photo too!

Thanks folks.
