nocturne for Furusund (2)

We're back in the coastal village Furusund. Part of the Swedish Road Administration, Vägverket Färjerederiet claims to be the world's sixth largest shipping company. This is Linea, one of their 63 yellow ferries.

I'd say 63 yellow ferries would indicate a rather large company! Sheesh!

Nice night shot, Per Stromsjo!

That's a ferry? It's huge!

Wonderful night shot! I've always liked yellow and violet together :)

I know this is weird, but I like ferries that open on both sides. No idea why, maybe because they're not so common over here.

Very powerful perspective and shot too!

In case anyone wonders about the strange light - this is Midnight at Midsummer and we're engulfed in a thick fog.

Jacob: Right you are and 21 million passengers per year is another one of their impressive figures.

Hilda: Yellow with anything blue:ish tends to get us going as well! :)

Tinsie: We should do a ferry theme one of these days!

JM: Glad you like it. I was hoping it would came across that way.

Thanks for abiding by Furusund with us.

I bet there's a lot more activity surrounding these ferries tonight as it's rather warm and we're in the midst of our vacation season.

Vogon Poet: Sweden used to be a leading nation on the seas, at least relative to its size. I wouldn't say that we're strictly limited to local ferries these days ;) but there are certainly more players in the global shipping marketplace today.

Paz: So did I. Hi Paz!

Appreciate your stopping by.
