the curvature of space

The Stockholm Centre for Physics, Astronomy and Biotechnology (AlbaNova universitetscentrum) of Stockholm University is located between the main campus at Frescati and the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) at Valhallavägen. AlbaNova by Danish architect Henning Larsen was opened in 2001 and there couldn't be a more appropriate place for astronomers (or indeed the rest of us) to study the curvature of space.

It looks very clean.

Very neat. I also like the curve.

Don't be surprised if we find an opportunity to return here later on.

cieldequimper: Thanks!

humanobserver: Yes, it's one spectacular building.

Steffe: I suppose that's a matter of arriving at the right time of day...

Halcyon: Another case of irresistible curves, I'd say.

Glad to have you stopping by.

Wonderful perspective and clean shot!

Per, you made me smile with your comment! :-)

Du är himla bra på kurvor också!

(Men ordet kurva plågar mig dagligen, på polska...)

Hisnande - i någon slags dubbel bemärkelse. Jag håller med Lena - du har öga för linjer. Gillas!

(Och du får göra hur mycket oblyg reklam du vill, jag kan behöva välriktade sparkar lite då och då...!)

Great architecture and very well captured.

In case anyone didn't catch my drift, allow me to clarify that the curvature of space has absolutely nothing to do with the curvature of this lovely building. I was just juggling terminology to lighten up the subject slightly.

JM: Happy to share a smile once in a while... :)

Carrie Hayes: There's a lot of old architecture around here since we've been fortunate to enjoy peace for centuries. So we shouldn't forget the older stuff. Churches and what have you.

Marc: Thanks!

Again, glad to have you all stopping by.

Your caption adds meaning to the shot. Lovely!

We like to think of this as more than just a photo album. To me, captions are important. Glad you liked this one. Some visitors look at the photos and skip the text. That's the reader's privilege and they're just as welcome of course. Thanks, Anupama.
