A statue in the park at the Piperska Muren manor house. Piperska Muren comes from the name of Count Carl Piper, who bought the manor in 1694, and the stone wall (mur) that his wife had built in 1702. Count Piper was an advisor to King Charles XII of Sweden. On this page you can see what it looked like in the old days.
.Danderyds sjukhus is a specialist hospital which opened in 1964 and got its own subway station in 1978. According to their mission statement, operations must be characterized by “Quality and Caring”.
I've already been here once before, 7 months ago. By then there was only a skeleton. This time we're on the other side of the tower though. Today people actually live in it.

Here's the Adolf Fredrik Church again, we don't mind returning here once in a while. Spring is not quite up to speed yet so let's remember Bernt's eternal flower bed from last year.
Here's the secret light source that Per used so cleverly for the pink buildings. As you can see, it's a very powerful illumination. The big screen paints almost everything around it in the predominant colour. 
In this case it's quite a large beer, I'd say. The alcohol strength is not that high but since the can is big you might get drunk anyway. So where can I get me one of those, you wonder? First you will have go to the fairly new City Gross in Ulvsunda, then you need to climb the brick wall. In case you should succeed with the first two, you will have at least two more problems to overcome. How are you gonna get it down, and how will you get it home?
Infrastructure isn't always pretty but what would we do without it? Under the Skanstull Bridge a different perspective awaits.
I'm not at all sure this is an old restaurant but it is located in the Old Town, just a few steps away from St George's slaying of the dragon statue.

The subway network was extended to Bergshamra (Solna municipality) in 1978. This is the entrance towards Bergshamra Square. The general idea is that you pay before you enter the station and most people do but we have a large number of free riders and as you can imagine this kind of construction (see more?) isn't terribly difficult to pass with or without a ticket. Most people use conventional magnetic stripe cards, some pilot users are testing a new system for smart cards (the blue devices) and if you ask nicely you can purchase a ticket in the kiosk in the background.
Sweden has a reputation as a nation of ship-builders. It's pretty ironic that one of the most spectacular failures in the construction of maritime vessels has turned into a huge tourist attraction of ours. We didn't have a leaning tower so we built a glorious and mighty warship which immediately sank on her maiden voyage in 1628. The Vasa Museum is constantly among the most popular places to visit in town and, in fact, the most popular museum in all of Scandinavia.
It could have been - but, no. It's the clock tower of Essinge Church, inaugurated in 1959. It's completely separated from the rest of the church (much to my surprise). The tower is 48m high. The architect was Cyrillus Johansson, who also did a nice bridge.
Something seems to be wrong about this picture but I can't really put my finger on it. But wait... shouldn't the runway be in another direction? I've never seen them lift off like that? Well - not to worry, this Saab 35 Draken will stay grounded for a quite a while. It's found in an industrial area near Bromma airport.

One of the two King's Towers (Kungstornen) in evening shroud. Kindly enough they have left the light burning on the upper floor, giving the statues an eerie green light. There is a surprise for you in this pic. See if you can find it :-)
