mid-month theme: subway day

Overground underground

Where there's room in the metropolis the underground often climbs overground. Here we have the train to Skarpnäck (Sharp Nude) arriving the Alvik (Alder Bay) station. These stations are part of the green line T17. The time is twenty past four in the afternoon and it's already getting dark.

subway day is a mid-month theme shared by the following blogs:

And on the opposite side of the platform the tram has arrived from Nockeby carrying some passengers for that Skarpnäck train.

Happy subway day, everyone!

Peter, I like the perspective you got in this platform shot. It looks like the woman on the advertising billboard is watching that train leave. Great shot for your mid month theme!

Förträffligt foto från Alviks station. Jag har väntat på tågbyte där många gånger, alltsedan 60-talet, på väg mot Blackeberg där jag växte upp.

Thank you all for commenting!

Kim: Yes, I agree! An interesting correlation between poster and train. I would lie if I said that it was planned ;o)

Per: Here's a another photo where you see the tram.

Pat: And I like you alot ;o)

I love the color of the natural light from the sky contracting with the artificial light on the station platform.
