we're moving out

It is spring time also in this Nordic country and what better way to spend an afternoon than relaxing in the sofa with some friends. These particular friends are found in the Old Town. As is the sofa.

Looks pleasant. Is this part of a café or what? I suppose whoever moves a sofa into the street will want to bring it inside again at night. Definitely a sign of times to come though!

I think the sofa belong to the posh brasserie Pontus by the sea. Come to think of it, we have had sofas outside before, like this on Street.

That is a beautiful picture. I love the concept of a sofa in the outdoors for public to enjoy. And I love the colors and architecture of the buildings in the background.

Eventhough I have never been to Stockhohm (hope to visit one day), this will be my impression of Sweden.

In NYC, the sofa would be vandalized very quickly. Unfortunately, some people here do not respect public properties at all.

The Old Town can be quite colorful.

In fairness, I’d say that unless the owner brought the sofa inside upon closing they wouldn’t recognize it next day. Or maybe it’d be gone for good.

You’d be most welcome here, Ming!

Unfortunately I think Per is right. You have to bring the sofa indoors at times.

My impression of NYC, Ming (tm), is that people get along surprisingly well considering the numeber of people sharing such a small place. I have put some photos from my latest visit to NYC (and Washington DC) here. Captions in Swedish, photos multilingual. ;o)
